Here's
a variation on the Audio-Servo driver circuit. This one incorporates an
ISD 2500 series ChipCorder as the sound source. It is set up to loop,
that is, play a sound over and over. This is useful in many applications,
for example, I formerly used it on a gravedigger (he's now controlled
with a microcontroller). With
an ISD 2560 ChipCorder, you have 60 seconds of message space. The gravedigger
would say something like "get back in the ground", pause a few
seconds then say something else like "what are you trying to do,
get back in there". You can use all or just part of the 60 second
memory, but with phrases like the above, you can get 8 to 10 messages
with 5 second pauses in between on a 60 second chip. See below for the
modified parts list.
I also want to add
that you're not restricted to just using this for sound. You can use it
to program up to 120 seconds of motion. Whenever you want the servo to
move, just record a tone or other sound on the ChipCorder. In this case,
there's no need to hook it up to a speaker.
